Spouse/Companion Program

Registered spouses and companions are welcome to join the immersive food and history tour.  You’ll eat, drink, and discover the heart of our 500-year-old Spanish colonial city.  Walk along vibrant cobblestone streets, uncover the stories behind Puerto Rican gastronomy, and explore the rich architecture that makes Old San Juan so unique.

On this top-rated food, history, and culture tour, you’ll enjoy curated tastings at local, independently owned eateries, representing Puerto Rico’s Taíno, African, and Spanish heritage. You might savor hand-picked, freshly roasted coffee, mouthwatering pork, Grandma’s traditional rice and beans, and creative plantain dishes. As the rum capital of the world, no visit is complete without a rum cocktail! Our generous tastings will leave you with a full stomach and a deeper connection to Puerto Rican cuisine.

As you explore, you’ll pass iconic landmarks like El Morro Fort, the second-oldest cathedral in the Americas, centuries-old convents, and beautiful plazas. Discover Old San Juan’s rich cultural heritage while taking in its striking architecture and historic fortifications.

We will meet in the lobby of the Hotel Rumbao at 10am and depart for a guided walking tour of Old San Juan.  The group will uber to Casa Bacardi for a guided rum tasting tour and return to the hotel around 4pm.
